Discussions and Workshops

The Center will host or co-host discussions and workshops that are related to Taiwan or Taiwanese Americans. For instance, Aboriginal music from Taiwan, Folk Music, Taiwan Film Showcase at UC San Diego, Asian Heritage Week, and so on.

• 228 Memorial Event - Honoring the Memory of the 228 Incident

• Date: February 28th (Wednesday), 2024 at 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. PST
• The Center for Taiwan Studies at UCSD will host a Zoom roundtable discussion on ways to remember the Feb. 28 tragic incident.  We start with Mr. Dalton Lu's ongoing documentary project on the subject, and then use the next 45 minutes or so to brainstorm around issues regarding Taiwanese/Taiwanese American oral histories/Taiwanese American grandparents' life lessons/TAH documentaries.
