Upcoming Conference


  • International Conference on Translation Communication and Intercultural Studies —                           2024 High-level Forum of PCTI of CACSEC
  • Conference Date: May 1-5, 2024 (check-in on 1 May, leave on 5 May)
  • Venue: Kavli Institute for Brain and Mind (Village West 15A 15B, UC San Diego)
  • In order to promote the exchange of academic achievements and the international dissemination of research on translation and interpreting, and to enhance the international influence of China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese (CACSEC) on translation and interpreting research, the Professional Committee of Translation and Interpreting (PCTI) of CACSEC will hold an International Symposium on Translation Communication and Intercultural Studies--2024 High-Level Forum of PCTI of CACSEC at University of California San Diego (UCSD), USA on 1-5 May 2024. This symposium/high-level forum is sponsored by PCTI of CACSEC, organized by UCSD, and co-organized by Translation Research and Teaching (a CSSCI journal of Chinese humanities and social sciences), City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Audio Description Studies Association. Experts and scholars from all over the world in translation, interpreting and intercultural studies are warmly welcomed to UCSD for the grand event.

  • Call for Proposals: Taiwan Studies Matters: Worlding the Contested Frontier
  • Proposal Submission Deadline: December 31, 2023
  • Conference Date: June 13-15, 2024 | New York 
  • NATSA is a nonprofit organization that aims to facilitate scholarly exchange and publication among researchers and students from different disciplines and area studies interested in intellectual dialogues about Taiwan. They have announced their latest Call for Proposals, themed “Taiwan Studies Matters: Worlding the Contested Frontier.”
